Sitting out Wednesday
Edgecombe (back) will not play Wednesday against the Jazz, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Analisi
Edgecombe suffered a lumbar contusion Tuesday against the Spurs, and it sounds like he will be listed as day-to-day going forward. The rookie will be re-evaluated ahead of Saturday's game versus Atlanta. In the meantime, the 76ers could lean more on Quentin Grimes and Cameron Payne.

Shut down vs. Spurs
Edgecombe won't return to Tuesday's game against San Antonio due to lower back soreness, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports. He'll finish the night with six points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 20 minutes.
Analisi
Edgecombe will likely be re-evaluated within the next day or so to determine his availability moving forward. The Sixers were already shorthanded without Joel Embiid (oblique) and Kelly Oubre (illness), so it'll be up to Quentin Grimes, Cameron Payne, Jabari Walker and Justin Edwards to eat up minutes in the second half.

Fills stat sheet in loss
Edgecombe registered 23 points (8-21 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 114-98 loss to Boston.
Analisi
Edgecombe needed 21 shots to score 23 points, but the rookie continues to show he has already adjusted well to life at the next level. Firmly entrenched in a starting role alongside Tyrese Maxey in the backcourt, Edgecombe has scored at least 20 points in four of his six appearances since the All-Star break while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor. The subpar shooting display was simply an outlier.

Scores 19 points with full line
Edgecombe amassed 19 points (8-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 39 minutes during Thursday's 124-117 win over the Heat.
Analisi
Edgecombe has been dialed in over the past two games, scoring efficiently, crashing the glass and wreaking havoc on defense. He's gone 17-for-25 from the floor over the torrid two-game stretch while ripping away a total of four steals. The rookie will look to keep the good times rolling Sunday in Boston.
