Murphy ended Saturday's 119-101 loss to the Nets with 23 points (10-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes.
Analisi
The fifth-year wing led the Pelicans in scoring as he topped 20 points for the third straight game since returning from an elbow injury. In those three contests to kick off December, Murphy's averaging 25.7 points, 9.0 boards, 5.7 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.3 steals, and he'll continue to see sky-high usage given all the injuries on the New Orleans roster.

Nets 21 points with eight dimes
Murphy contributed 21 points (7-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 125-116 loss to Minnesota.
Analisi
Murphy did an excellent job of putting his playmaking skills on display in this one, notching a new season high in assists while committing only two turnovers. The only knock against him Thursday was the 0-for-5 performance from three-point territory, but the New Orleans marksman should have no trouble bouncing back Saturday with a matchup against one of the worst defensive teams in the league in Brooklyn.

Murphy is in jeopardy of missing his third consecutive contest due to a strained right elbow. If the 25-year-old swingman remains on the shelf, Saddiq Bey, Micah Peavy and Bryce McGowens are candidates for increased playing time. Over his last five outings, Murphy has averaged 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals across 35.2 minutes per game.
