Strong outing off bench
Dinwiddie registered 22 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and one steal over 31 minutes in Thursday's 127-120 win over the Celtics.
Analisi
Thursday was Dinwiddie's most productive outing since his 28-point performance against the Thunder on Jan. 17. The veteran guard made timely buckets that prevented the Celtics from making any sort of comeback, and he finished as the Mavericks' second-leading scorer behind Klay Thompson (25). Though he's coming off the bench, Dinwiddie will have opportunities to run the Mavericks' offense alongside newcomer Anthony Davis (abdomen) when Kyrie Irving rests on the bench.

Dinwiddie started in 16 of the Mavericks' last 19 games, and over that span he averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals over 29.9 minutes per contest. He has failed to play more than 30 minutes in each of his last five outings, and he'll revert to a reserve role Tuesday due to Kyrie Irving (finger) returning from a one-game absence and Kessler Edwards being inserted into the starting five.

Analisi
Dinwiddie struggled Friday, scoring his fewest points since a two-point showing in the Jan. 3 loss to Cleveland. The veteran guard wraps up an erratic month of January, during which he posted double-digit scoring figures in only eight of his 16 contests (13 starts). Dinwiddie should remain a fixture in Dallas' lineup until Luka Doncic returns from a calf strain, but he's still been a hit-or-miss fantasy option.
