Small role in Sactown debut
Valanciunas ended Thursday's 108-102 loss to the Trail Blazers with six points (2-8 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists across 17 minutes off the bench.
Analisi
The veteran center was acquired from the Wizards on Wednesday and wasted little time making his Kings debut. Valanciunas provided solid per-minute production from the second unit, but with Domantas Sabonis locked into the starting job, Valanciunas may have trouble seeing even the 20.5 minutes a game he'd been averaging for Washington since Christmas.

Analisi
The Kings acquired Valanciunas from the Wizards on Wednesday, and the trade has been finalized with the NBA. He'll likely operate as the backup center behind Domantas Sabonis, so it will be hard for him to produce reliable fantasy value outside of deeper formats.

Traded to Sacramento
The Wizards traded Valanciunas on Wednesday to the Kings in exchange for Sidy Cissoko and two second-round picks, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Analisi
Valanciunas has seemingly been on the trading block since he became eligible to be moved this season after signing with the Wizards in free agency this past summer. The veteran big man has been in countless trade rumors but was finally dealt to the Kings, who have been very active on the trade market, recently acquiring Zach LaVine in a deal involving De'Aaron Fox being shipped to the Spurs. The veteran big man will get Sacramento some depth in the frontcourt, making up an intimidating frontline with Domantas Sabonis.

Hauls in 17 boards vs. Charlotte
Valanciunas logged 14 points (6-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 17 rebounds and four assists over 29 minutes during Monday's 124-114 win over the Hornets.
Analisi
Valanciunas grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds Monday, eight of which came on the offensive glass, en route to his second-straight double-double and 14th of the regular season. Alex Sarr continues to rehab his way back from a left ankle sprain, and Valanciunas will remain as Washington's starting center for as long as the No. 2 overall pick is sidelined. Valanciunas and the Wizards will wrap up their quick two-game road trip Wednesday against Brooklyn.

Double-double in Saturday's win
Valanciunas produced 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 victory over the Timberwolves.
Analisi
Making his third straight start in place of Alex Sarr (ankle), Valanciunas came through with his 13th double-double of the season after managing just 11 points and 14 boards total in the first two games Sarr sat out. The 30 minutes represented the veteran center's highest workload since Dec. 7, and if Valanciunas is on the trade block as has been rumored, he's showing contenders he can still contribute.
