Won't go Monday
Brown (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analisi
Brown was added to the injury report as doubtful due to lower-back spasms, so this was the expected outcome. The Celtics have yet to release their starting lineup, but look for Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman to see an increase in chances Monday night.

It appears that Brown will be unavailable Monday evening, but the good news is that after Monday's game, the Celtics won't play again until Thursday, so Brown will have plenty of time to rest his back. Sam Hauser (hamstring) is questionable for Monday, and if he's forced to join Brown on the inactive list, Hugo Gonzalez could get the start, while Payton Pritchard and Derrick White will do the heavy lifting on offense.

Brown ended with 27 points (11-28 FG, 5-11 3Pt), eight rebounds and seven assists across 43 minutes during Saturday's 100-95 loss to the Spurs.

The 29-year-old forward failed to get to the free-throw line at all for the first time since Nov. 1 against the Rockets, but he still delivered a strong overall line in the box score. Brown has scored more than 20 points in nine of the last 10 games, averaging 29.9 points, 6.9 boards, 5.1 assists, 2.5 threes and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 40.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Brown posted 25 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 12-13 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one block over 36 minutes during the Celtics' 125-117 win over the Raptors on Friday.

Brown did a little bit of everything and did most of his scoring damage from the free-throw line, tying a season high in free throws that he set on two separate occasions before Friday's win. He finished as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Payton Pritchard (27 points), and while he wasn't able to reach the 30-point threshold, Brown has scored at least 23 points in all but one game over his last 15 appearances. Over that span, Brown has averaged 31.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.2 threes and 0.9 steals over 35.2 minutes per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field.
