Allen (knee) will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analisi
Allen had been playing well of late and was coming off a 21-point, five-rebound, four-assist performance in a loss to the Warriors on Thursday. He has scored at least 20 points in four of his previous five contests, but now he'll be sidelined until after the All-Star break. Jordan Goodwin and Royce O'Neale should be in line for more minutes while Allen is sidelined.

Allen exited Thursday's loss to Golden State in the fourth quarter due to a right knee sprain, and it's not a positive sign that he's being ruled out a day in advance of Saturday's tipoff. His next opportunity to play will come Tuesday against Dallas. With the veteran swingman sidelined, Ryan Dunn, Jordan Goodwin and Jamaree Bouyea are candidates for increased minutes, especially if Devin Booker (ankle) or Jalen Green (hamstring/hip) is downgraded from questionable to out.

Fails to return Thursday
Allen didn't return to Thursday's game against Golden State due to a right knee injury, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. He ended the night with 21 points (7-17 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes.
Analisi
Allen was on his way to a strong performance, but an injury in the final few minutes put a damper on his night. Allen notched 24 points (9-18 FG, 6-11 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 130-125 win over Portland.

Allen turned in another solid total in the victory. He's now started six consecutive games, averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds during that stint. His tenure with the first unit could come to an end once Devin Booker (ankle) returns, but Allen should still have a noticeable impact with the second unit.

Allen finished with 23 points (7-21 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight assists, two steals and one rebound across 36 minutes during Sunday's 117-93 loss to the Clippers.
Analisi
Allen led the Suns in scoring but did so on inefficient shooting, converting just 33.3 percent of his attempts from the field. Even with a lackluster efficiency showing, the Duke product has now knocked down four-plus three-pointers in eight of the past 12 games. He also chipped in as a facilitator Sunday, matching a season-high eight assists.
