Won't play in Summer League finale
Demin (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's Summer League game against the Thunder, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Analisi
Demin is healthy but will be inactive for the Nets' Summer League finale for rest purposes. The 20-year-old scored at least 20 points in all five of his Summer League appearances between the California Classic and Las Vegas. He figures to play a significant role in Brooklyn's backcourt during the 2026-27 campaign.

Scores team-high 21 points in loss
Demin finished with 21 points (8-20 FG, 5-16 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block over 31 minutes in Thursday's 100-83 Summer League loss to Houston.
Analisi
Demin had a team-high 21 points, though he struggled shooting the ball, going 8-for-20 from the field and 5-for-16 from three-point range. These types of shooting performances have been the norm for the 20-year-old during his time in Las Vegas. However, he has shown signs of growth, especially on the defensive end by totaling seven steals during the Las Vegas Summer League. Demin averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.8 steals across 25.2 minutes in 52 regular-season appearances in 2025-26 before his year came to an end due to a foot injury. While he hasn't looked the best in some areas of his game this summer, he's still expected to make a statistical leap in 2026-27, assuming he can stay healthy.

Leads Nets in scoring Tuesday
Demin (rest) finished with 22 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and four steals across 23 minutes in Tuesday's 115-83 Summer League win over Sacramento.
Analisi
Demin didn't play in Saturday's meeting with the Hawks, but he was back in action Tuesday. He finished with a team-high 22 points, though he shot an inefficient 1-for-5 from behind the arc. However, outside of Demin's shooting woes from downtown, he reached the 20-point mark in his second consecutive Las Vegas Summer League appearance. The 20-year-old averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 38.5 percent from deep over 25.2 minutes in 52 regular-season games before his inaugural campaign ended abruptly because of a foot injury. With that in mind, as long as Demin stays healthy in 2026-27, he should have more opportunities to build on his production from his rookie year.
