The Kings struggled to put points on the board and recorded their fourth-lowest scoring total of the season in the narrow loss. DeRozan had a solid line with results in every statistical category, but the team failed to respond after Brandon Williams hit a three-pointer to put the Mavericks up for good. DeRozan bounced back from a two-game slump, when he produced a total of 24 points over losses against Milwaukee and Phoenix.

Analisi
DeRozan was pulled early once the game was out of hand, and that's a key reason for his reduced total Sunday evening. Although Zach LaVine came off the bench, he should return to the starting lineup in short order, shifting DeRozan back to his customary role with the first unit.

Analisi
DeRozan responded nicely from a sluggish eight-point showing Tuesday against the Clippers, but it wasn't enough to propel his team to a victory Thursday. He ended December on a sour note, knocking down only 37.1 percent of his field goals over his last three games of the month, so his performance Thursday is a sign he's back on track.
