Mitchell continued his impressive stretch of strong play off the bench and has now scored in double figures in each of his last 14 games. He got back in rhythm from beyond the arc after going 0-for-5 over his last two matchups, drilling three treys for just the third time this season.

Mitchell got the start against the Grizzlies on Friday due to the absence of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and the former finished with 23 points, six assists, three rebounds and one block over 38 minutes. Gilgeous-Alexander has been cleared to return Sunday against Miami, so Mitchell will revert to a bench role for that contest.

Analisi
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) and Chet Holmgren (shins) out, Mitchell was able to operate as one of the lead dogs on offense, and he responded with one of his better games of the season. Mitchell has been in a nice rhythm over the past eight games, posting averages of 14.3 points, 4.0 assists, 1.4 triples, 1.6 steals and just 1.0 turnovers per contest, which has been good enough for top-60 value in nine-category leagues.
