Mitchell got the start with Jalen Williams (hamstring) unavailable, and he led the team in shot attempts. However, he converted only five of his 20 field-goal tries, so it'll be interesting to see if he sticks as a starter for Game 4 on Monday. Cason Wallace finished with six points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), one rebound, two assists, two steals and one block over 26 minutes.

Mitchell will start Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round series against Phoenix on Saturday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

With Jalen Williams (hamstring) sidelined, Mitchell will enter the starting lineup. In 16 regular-season starts, the 23-year-old averaged 14.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.3 blocks and 1.3 steals while shooting 41.7 percent from deep across 28.6 minutes.

Mitchell totaled 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 29 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 120-107 victory over the Suns in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Analisi
The second-year guard led the Thunder's second unit in scoring and assists on the night. Mitchell has made a consistent impact on defense over the last few weeks, recording at least one steal in six of his last seven games dating back to March 30 while averaging 10.0 points, 3.4 assists, 2.9 boards, 1.3 steals and 1.1 threes in 23.9 minutes during that span.
