Officially ruled out
White (illness) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Nuggets, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.

Boston's initial injury report was clean, but White apparently picked up an illness overnight. His late addition to the injury report doesn't bode well for his status for Tuesday's contest, but the Celtics will see how he recovers over the day before deciding closer to the 10 p.m. ET tipoff whether he'll play. If White can't go, the Celtics could turn to Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser to pick up some of the slack in the backcourt.

White logged 23 points (8-16 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 35 minutes in Friday's 109-86 victory over the Rockets.

With Jaylen Brown (shoulder) ruled out for the second straight game, head coach Joe Mazzulla tapped White for an expanded role. He answered the call by torching the Rockets from deep, which should come as no surprise given that he's among the league leaders in catch-and-shoot three-pointers made per game this season at 2.6, which he makes at a 67.8 percent clip. White will be productive with or without Brown, but once the All-Star guard returns to the lineup, it's safe to expect White's volume in the offense to take a slight hit.

White provided 26 points (10-20 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 37 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 victory over the Timberwolves.
