Questionable for Saturday
Russell is questionable for play Saturday against the Pistons due to a left knee contusion.

Logs 20 minutes in loss
Russell had nine points (3-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists and one block over 30 minutes during Monday's 101-94 loss to the Thunder.

Russell featured heavily again Monday, playing at least 29 minutes for the second straight game. After barely touching the floor during the first two games, it appears head coach Jason Kidd has realized that there is some benefit to having a point guard on the floor. Cooper Flagg suffered a shoulder injury during the game, and if he is to miss any time, Russell would become a popular target in standard fantasy formats.

Snaps out of funk with 24 points
Russell posted 24 points (8-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, six assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Sunday's 139-129 victory over the Raptors.

Russell got off to a horrendous start, bricking his first seven shot attempts, but after drilling a buzzer-beating triple midway through the second quarter, he was able to find his rhythm and turn things around. Russell had been a negligible part of the rotation through the first two games of the season, but he logged major minutes Sunday and was in the closing lineup in the win, which hints he's curried some favor with head coach Jason Kidd. It'll be interesting to see what his minutes look like Monday against the Thunder.
