Not in Monday's lineup
Ward (forehead) is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Houston, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Анализ
Ward was involved in a scary collision with the outfield wall during Sunday's 3-0 win over the Astros, resulting in him sustaining a cut above his right eye that required about 20 stitches, per Fletcher However, he managed to avoid a serious injury and indicated Monday that he expects to be back in the lineup in a couple days. Matthew Lugo will start in left field and bat seventh for the Angels on Monday.

Injury appears relatively minor
Ward suffered a "nasty" cut above his right eye when he collided with the outfield wall Sunday in Houston, but the outfielder is "doing well," Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Анализ
Blum describes Ward's prognosis as "a best-case scenario," so the outfielder doesn't appear to be facing a long-term absence. However, Ward did need to get stitches to close the cut, which could be enough to sideline him for a few games. If Ward does need to miss any time, Matthew Lugo, Bryce Teodosio or Luis Rengifo could be asked to take over in left field.

Departs after scary collison
Ward was removed from Sunday's game against the Astros with an apparent head injury after colliding with the outfield wall, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports. He went 0-for-1 with three walks prior to exiting the game.
Анализ
Ward ran face first into the corner section of the Crawford Boxes in left field and was bleeding while being tended to by training staff from both clubs. The outfielder was able to stand on his own before a cart came out for him, and he should be considered day-to-day as he's evaluated.
