Will undergo UCL surgery on elbow
Montas will undergo surgery to repair a torn UCL in his right elbow, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Whether Montas requires Tommy John surgery might not be known until he has the operation, but a full UCL reconstruction is considered "very likely," per Heyman, which would knock Montas out until the 2027 season. Shifted to 60-day injured list
The Mets transferred Montas (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The Mets placed Montas on the 15-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Aug. 22, due to a right elbow UCL injury.
