Schmitt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Rockies.

Schmitt went 5-for-13 with a homer and a double during the three-game series in Colorado. He had gone 0-for-12 in the Giants' previous series versus the Diamondbacks. Starting Monday vs. Arizona
Schmitt (illness) will start at shortstop and bat third against the Diamondbacks on Monday, Evan Webeck of the California Post reports.
