While this was an encouraging performance, it is likely that Brunson was merely getting some rest, given the opponent. This was a terrific showing for Alvarado in a very limited role off the bench. Miles McBride (pelvis) suffered a setback in the loss and will miss Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, and Jalen Brunson (ankle) is questionable. That means Alvarado could be in line for a healthy workload against Memphis.
