Lone bright spot in offense
Avdija totaled 22 points (7-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-11 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 114-95 loss to the Spurs in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Avdija was the only first-unit player to register more than 10 points in Portland's season finale. The team was clearly outmatched, and although it was successful in containing Victor Wembanyama for most of the game, he put the game out of reach, helped by a spirited performance from Julian Champagnie and the rest of the starters. There will likely be significant changes to Portland's roster in the offseason, but Avdija will remain the team's centerpiece. Avdija achieved career highs in several categories this season, averaging 24.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.7 assists over 66 regular-season games.

Team-high 26 points not enough
Avdija logged 26 points (8-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal over 37 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 114-93 loss to the Spurs in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Avdija continues to do everything he can for the Trail Blazers, although, once again, they fell short of victory. He has clearly been Portland's most consistent player, getting it done on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis. If the team has hopes of extending the series to a sixth game, Avdija is going to have to deliver another masterclass, this time on the road in San Antonio.

Just misses Game 3 double-double
Avdija notched 19 points (3-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 12-16 FT), six rebounds and nine assists in 37 minutes during Friday's 120-108 loss to the Spurs in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The 25-year-old forward salvaged a poor shooting night with big volume at the free-throw line while falling one dime short of his second double-double of the series. Through his first three career playoff games, Avdija is averaging 21.0 points, 6.7 boards, 5.7 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 combined steals-plus-blocks in 35.3 minutes, but he's shooting just 40.8 percent from the floor -- well below his regular-season mark of 46.2 percent.
