Gets 10-day contract with Indiana

Okafor agreed to a 10-day contract with the Pacers on Monday, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.

Analysis

Okafor last saw NBA action with the Pistons during the 2020-21 campaign. The 2015 first-round pick had spent the entire 2024-25 season up to this point in the G League with the Pacers' G League affiliate, the Indiana Mad Ants, with whom he had averaged 18.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 30.5 minutes per game over 30 appearances. With Myles Turner dealing with a neck injury that could keep him out of the Pacers' next game Tuesday versus the Knicks, Okafor could fill depth minutes at center if Thomas Bryant is needed to make another start in Turner's stead.
