Fans six in short outing

Lodolo did not factor in the decision during Monday's win over the Yankees. He allowed a run on six hits while striking out six over 4.1 frames.

Analysis

Lodolo coughed up a solo shot to Aaron Judge in the first inning but otherwise kept the Yankees off the board. However, despite not walking a batter, Lodolo threw 94 pitches and failed to complete five frames. It was the second time in his last three starts that he threw fewer than five innings, but he coughed up six runs in the other. Lodolo is now sporting a 3.63 ERA with an 80:18 K:BB through 89.1 innings this season. He's lined up to face the Padres at home this weekend.

Rebounds with six strong innings

Lodolo (5-5) notched the win Wednesday against the Twins, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out four.

Analysis

After matching a season high with six earned runs allowed his last time out, Lodolo rebounded with his ninth quality start of the year. The southpaw whiffed 12 on the evening, and there's a chance he would've come out for the seventh inning had Wednesday's contest not been called in the sixth frame due to a second rain delay. Lodolo sports a 3.71 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 74:18 K:BB across 85 innings in 2025, but he's in for a tough matchup versus the Yankees in his next scheduled outing.
