Homers in third straight
Gasper served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to Arizona.
Analysis
Gasper gave the Red Sox a jolt in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he launched a three-run homer that tied the game after the Diamondbacks extended their lead in the top of the frame. It was the third straight game with a homer for Gasper, who had gone deep just twice over 92 career games in the majors prior to his call-up this week. The switch hitter has served as the DH in three consecutive contests, all against right-handers. He was eventually pinch hit for against a left-hander in the eighth.

Gasper went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks and two RBI in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Analysis
Gasper was perfect at the plate, and the highlight was a solo blast in the sixth inning. The 30-year-old has now homered in back-to-back games since rejoining the Red Sox on Monday. He's slashed .254/.323/.368 with eight extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored across 128 major-league plate appearances and is earning himself a chance to stick around during his second stint with the big club this season.

Gasper went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an RBI groundout during Boston's 11-1 win over Arizona on Monday.
Analysis
The Red Sox needed another bat in the lineup after Masataka Yoshida (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday and Jahmai Jones (undisclosed) was a late scratch from the lineup. Gasper got the call from Triple-A Worcester, and he contributed immediately with a solo long ball in the seventh inning, his first in the majors this season and third of his big-league career. He could see additional reps at DH if Jones' absence extends beyond Monday's series opener.

The Red Sox recalled Gasper from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Analysis
Gasper will be back with the Red Sox for the first time since late June, replacing the injured Masataka Yoshida (hamstring). Adley Rutschman will occupy the designated hitter spot for Sunday's series finale in Pittsburgh, but Gasper could get some looks as the DH while Yoshida is out. During his time in the majors this season, Gasper has slashed .243/.305/.308 with no home runs or stolen bases, 11 runs and seven RBI across 119 plate appearances.
