Crosses plate three times Sunday
Mateo went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, three runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Diamondbacks.
Analysis
Getting the start at shortstop while Mauricio Dubon covered third base for a resting Austin Riley, Mateo made a big impact from the ninth spot in the order. The veteran utility player has been used sparingly so far by Atlanta, but he's making a case for a larger role, going 3-for-7 in four games with a double, a homer, a steal, two RBI and five runs.

Gets in on rout with first homer
Mateo slugged a two-run home run in his only at-bat during Thursday's 17-2 rout of the Diamondbacks.
Analysis
The utility infielder pinch hit for DH Dominic Smith in the ninth inning and took position player James McCann deep. Mateo has been used sparingly early in the year, appearing in just three of Atlanta's first seven games and getting only four plate appearances, and it'll likely take an injury or two to put him in a fantasy-friendly role.
