Ends homer drought Thursday
Marsee went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Mets.
Analysis
The center fielder provided the last bit of offense for the Marlins in a 4-2 loss by taking Nolan McLean deep in the seventh inning. It was Marsee's first long ball since July 3, snapping an 18-game drought, and over 74 plate appearances on the month he's compiled a .237/.375/.356 slash line with two homers, one steal, six RBI and 11 runs.

Late addition to lineup
Marsee was added to the Miami lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies and will start in center field and bat ninth, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis
With southpaw Jesus Luzardo on the hill for the Phillies, the left-handed-hitting Marsee had been scheduled to receive the afternoon off. However, after third baseman Leo Jimenez was a late scratch due to a stomach ailment, Javier Sanoja will cover the hot corner, while Marsee will be needed to fill the open outfield spot. Marsee will be flanked in the outfield by Heriberto Hernandez in left and Esteury Ruiz in right.

Analysis
Marsee reached base four times in the first two games of the series, but the left-handed-hitting outfielder will hit the bench Wednesday while southpaw Jesus Luzardo toes the rubber for the Phillies. The Marlins will go with Esteury Ruiz in center field in the series finale.

Marsee went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the Phillies.
Analysis
The 25-year-old center fielder has found himself batting ninth in his last two starts, and at least on Monday the move sparked a bit of offense from him. Marsee's had a rough season overall, but he's showing signs of life in July, slashing .255/.387/.333 over 18 games with one homer, one steal, five RBI and nine runs.

Marsee is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Analysis
It's the second absence in the past four games for Marsee despite the fact that the Marlins haven't faced a left-handed starting pitcher since last weekend. Marsee is mired in a 3-for-23 slump and has a .605 OPS through 100 games this season, and the lack of offensive production may be catching up to him. Esteury Ruiz has an .853 OPS in 132 plate appearances this year and is picking up another start in center field for Miami.
