Koss has four homers this season, all coming over his last 12 contests. He's batting .250 (10-for-40) with seven RBI in that span. The infielder is batting .219 with a .594 OPS, nine RBI, 22 runs scored, five doubles and two stolen bases over 164 plate appearances this season, so the recent power surge is a bit of a surprise. Analysis
Both homers came off Zac Thornton, with Koss belting a two-run shot in the third inning and a solo blast in the fifth. The shortstop has flipped the switch at the plate in September -- he entered the month with a .498 OPS in 47 big-league contests, but over the last five games he's gone 6-for-19 (.316) with two homers, a walk, four RBI and eight runs.
