The Rockies selected Adams' contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Analysis

The 25-year-old righty received his first big-league call-up, despite submitting an 8.10 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 41:22 K:BB in 50 innings at Triple-A after being bumped up from Double-A Hartford on May 19. Adams will likely serve as a low-leverage reliever for the duration of his stay with the Rockies.
