Filling strong side of platoon
Osuna is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.
Analysis
Since being promoted from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday, the left-handed-hitting Osuna has drawn starts in three of the Rangers' ensuing six games. Two of Osuna's three absences have come against left-handed pitching, so the 23-year-old looks like he could be deployed in the strong side of a platoon in left field with either Sam Haggerty or Ezequiel Duran until Wyatt Langford (forearm) is ready to return from the injured list.

Starts two consecutive games
Osuna started in left field and went 0-for-2 in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Athletics.
Analysis
This marked Osuna's second straight start in left field, as the Rangers adapt to life without Wyatt Langford (forearm), who was added to the 10-day injured list Wednesday. Thus far, manager Skip Schumaker has gotten by with a rotation of the lefty-batting Osuna and right-handed-hitting Ezequiel Duran in left field, although it may not be a strict platoon going forward.

Promotion official
The Rangers recalled Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Analysis
With Wyatt Langford (forearm) landing on the injured list, Osuna will rejoin the Rangers to provide depth in the outfield. The 23-year-old slashed .212/.313/.278 across 176 plate appearances in the big leagues last season but is off to a better start in the minors this year, posting a .709 OPS through 17 games.
