Analisi
Holton has been seeing more save opportunities lately, as this was his third since Aug. 26, and he now has seven saves for the season. Jason Foley leads the team with 20 saves, but Holton has clearly emerged as a co-closing option in Detroit. The lefty's fantasy stock appears to be on the rise.

Holton has been an important member of Detroit's bullpen this year, posting a 2.44 ERA and 0.83 WHIP across 77.1 innings. Most of his appearances have lasted more than one inning, and he was able to reach three frames as recently as Aug. 17. Once the 28-year-old lefty exits Monday's contest, Ty Madden is expected to pitch in bulk relief.

Holton followed starter Tarik Skubal, who dazzled across eight innings. The Detroit reliever kept things up and earned his sixth save of the season. Presumptive top closer Jason Foley was likely available, as he last pitched on Wednesday, but the Tigers turned to Holton to face the top of Boston's lineup. That meant matchups with left-handed batters Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers, so perhaps that favored the southpaw Holton. Either way, he's firmly in the mix for saves in Detroit, and he's earned the opportunity with a strong 2.44 ERA and 0.83 WHIP across 77.1 innings this season.
