Extends HR streak to five games
Torkelson went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run during Detroit's 8-3 win over Cincinnati on Sunday.
Analisi
Torkelson extended the Tigers' lead to 5-3 in the seventh inning by blasting a solo home run off Pierce Johnson. Torkelson has gone deep in each of his last five games, a complete turnaround from how he started the 2026 season, as he failed to go deep in each of his first 22 contests of the campaign. Tuesday's series opener against Atlanta will be his opportunity to extend the homer streak to six games.

Home run surge continues
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the Reds.
Analisi
Torkelson extended his home-run streak to four games, which is the slugger's longest at the MLB level. He last went deep in four straight games during his sophomore season at Arizona State in 2019, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. This is also the first time any Detroit player has accomplished the feat since Ian Kinsler in 2016. Torkelson's surge has quieted some concerns over his slow start, as he didn't go deep once in the first 23 games of the year.

Extends homer streak
Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Reds.
Analisi
Torkelson has now homered in three straight contests after not going deep across the first 23 games of the season. The slugger is riding a four-game hitting streak overall, going 5-for-14 with a 1.509 OPS during the surge. Torkelson's overall numbers are still a bit below his usual standards, but he's quickly getting back on track after a slow start to the year.

Goes deep again Thursday
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.
Analisi
Torkelson went without a home run in his first 23 games of the season, but he's now gone deep on consecutive days. The slugger also struck out two more times Thursday, and his strikeout rate is now a tick below 30 percent. Torkelson has always been known as player with plenty of swing-and-miss in his game who can also hit homers in bunches, and that seems to be the case once again in 2026.

Hits first 2026 home run
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Brewers.
Analisi
Torkelson finally hit his first home run of the year in his 24th game, taking Chad Patrick deep in the fourth inning with a runner on. The slugger had 31 long balls during the 2025 regular season, so he'll need to really heat up to get back on last year's pace. It's been a struggle for Torkelson overall, as he's only batting .189 with a .603 OPS, but his ability to hit homers in bunches should keep his bat in the lineup as he works through the slow start.
