Six strong innings vs. Baltimore
Cecconi didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out two.
Analisi
Cecconi was able to work at least six innings in his fourth consecutive start, though the two punchouts did tie a season low. The 26-year-old right-hander has also hurled at least six frames while conceding two runs or fewer on four occasions over his last six outings. Cecconi has put together a steady 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 60:20 K:BB over 69.1 frames, and he's in line to carry plenty of streaming appeal next week at home versus the last-place Rockies.

Gives great length in win
Cecconi (5-4) went 8.1 innings to earn the win, allowing six runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out two, during Friday's 8-6 victory over the Athletics.
Analisi
Cecconi was solid through eight innings, allowing just three runs on five hits, before running into a bit of trouble in the ninth inning. It's possible that he just ran out of gas -- it was the longest the 26-year-old has been asked to pitch all season long -- but he did get the win and saved the Guardians bullpen from too much usage. His streak of seven starts in a row allowing three or fewer runs is over, but working that deep into the game is an encouraging sign regardless. The right-hander is scheduled to make his second start of the second half next Wednesday against the Orioles.
