Resuming throwing program
Reds manager Terry Francona said that Lowder (shoulder) will resume throwing Thursday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
Analisi
Lowder was given an injection in the injured AC joint of his right shoulder earlier this week and officially landed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday. The right-hander's absence could be relatively brief, but until Lowder is ready, the newly-signed Chris Paddack will hold down a slot in the Reds' rotation.

Move to IL made official
The Reds placed Lowder on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right shoulder discomfort.
Analisi
Lowder was forced to exit his start last Thursday with right shoulder trouble and was subsequently given an injection in the AC joint. He does not have any structural damage, so Lowder has a chance to return soon, but it will depend on how he does after he's cleared to ramp up throwing again. Chris Paddack was signed to take Lowder's roster spot and should also hold down a slot in the rotation while Lowder is out.

IL move coming
Manager Terry Francona said Sunday that Lowder (shoulder) will be placed on the 15-day injured list, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
Analisi
The right-hander received an injection in the AC joint of his right shoulder after an MRI came back negative Friday, and he'll spend at least a couple weeks on the shelf. Manager Terry Francona indicated Lowder is taking a break from mound work but will continue to throw, which could indicate his absence won't be a lengthy one. The Reds didn't make the transaction official prior to Sunday's matchup with the Astros, but the move should be announced in the near future.

Gets injection, not going on IL yet
Lowder was given an injection in the AC joint of his right shoulder after an MRI on Friday came back negative, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
Analisi
Lowder had to be lifted from Thursday's start versus the Cubs with right shoulder discomfort, but he's been cleared of structural damage and could throw a bullpen session as soon as Sunday if he responds well to the injection. A trip to the injured list remains a distinct possibility, but the Reds will not make a roster move with Lowder just yet.
