Devers went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 10-9 loss to the Reds.

Devers hit a single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the fifth. He was also intentionally walked in the eighth frame. The veteran infielder has homered in three straight games, batting .455 with six RBI, five runs scored and three home runs in 13 plate appearances during that stretch. He's up to 29 long balls on the year and is now slashing .246/.324/.486 with 76 RBI, 74 runs scored and a 25.9 percent strikeout rate across 564 plate appearances this season.

Devers has found some power lately with four homers and eight RBI over his last nine games. Six of his last eight hits have gone for extra bases. Devers walloped a Chase Burns fastball over the fence in right-center field for a three-run homer in the second inning. The 29-year-old slugger has launched five long balls in 21 August games, though he's posted just a .224 batting average this month. Overall, Devers is slashing .243/.321/.475 with 27 homers, 73 RBI and 71 runs across 131 tilts.

Homers in return to Fenway
Devers went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run during the Giants' 6-4 loss to the Red Sox on Friday.

Friday night was Devers' return to Fenway Park and his first appearance in Boston since being traded to the Giants in June of 2025. He received a mix of boos and applause in his first plate appearance, but he silenced the Fenway faithful in the fourth, when he struck a towering long ball off Sonny Gray to center field to reduce the Giants' deficit to 5-4. It was the 26th home run of the season for Devers, who is inching closer to reaching the 30-homer mark for a second consecutive year and for the fifth time in his major-league career. On the season, he has a .796 OPS with 70 RBI across 542 plate appearance.
