Idle against southpaw
Wade is not in the Giants' lineup against the Yankees on Sunday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Analisi
With the Yankees sending Carlos Rodon to the mound, the lefty-hitting Wade will begin Sunday's game in the dugout while Casey Schmitt gets the start at first base and bats seventh. Wade has struggled of late, going 1-for-21 with one run scored, three walks, three RBI and nine strikeouts over his last seven outings.

Wade went 1-for-3 with one run scored, two walks and three RBI in Friday's 9-1 rain-shortened win over the Yankees.

Wade played a big role in chasing Marcus Stroman in the first inning, when the former smacked a double to right field to bring home Matt Chapman and Heliot Ramos. Wade brought home another run in the sixth frame when he drew a bases-loaded walk at the top of the sixth inning in what was ultimately the final play of the game due to inclement weather. Wade entered Friday's game having gone 0-for-15 with seven strikeouts over his last five games and was demoted from leadoff to the sixth spot in the lineup for this game.

The 31-year-old started the season 0-for-16 in his first five appearances, though he had a two-game stretch in which he went 4-for-7 with a home run and two additional runs. However, Wade's struggles have continued in the Giants' last three games, as he's gone 0-for-11 while striking out six times.
