Lee (back) went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 4-3 exhibition loss to Triple-A Sacramento.
Analisi
Lee returned to action after missing over a week with a sore back, but he didn't look any worse for the wear Sunday. The 26-year-old stands to operate as the Giants' primary center fielder in 2025, and he now appears to be on track to be a full go for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Reds.

Aiming to return Sunday
Lee (back) will resume baseball activities Saturday and hopes to play in Sunday's exhibition game versus the Athletics, John Shea of The San Francisco Standard reports.

Lee hasn't played in more than a week due to a sore back but remains optimistic he'll be ready for Opening Day. It's not a given though, as the outfielder noted he will not rush things just to be available March 27. If Lee isn't ready for the start of the regular season, Grant McCray and Luis Matos are expected to handle center field duties.

Imaging on Lee's back came back negative Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Lingering back soreness has plagued Lee since Saturday, but his injury doesn't seem to result from any sort of structural damage. There's still no telling how far away the 26-year-old is from returning to the field, though a long-term absence isn't expected.
