The Angels transferred Marte (illness) to the 60-day injured list Friday.
Analisi
Marte was placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 10 due to a viral infection and with Friday's shift to the 60-day IL, he won't be eligible to return during the 2024 regular season. The right-hander logged a 2.33 ERA in 19.1 big-league innings this season, smashing his previous best 7.36 ERA he generated in 2022. The 28-year-old should be healthy in time for spring training.
