Stumbles against White Sox
Kochanowicz didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing five runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.
Analysis
Kochanowicz made his second start since rejoining the active roster following a stint at Triple-A Salt Lake. While he improved upon his control - Kochanowicz walked six batters in his previous outing - he yielded his most runs in a start since May 10. Most of the damage came from the bat of Colson Montgomery, who launched a three-run homer in the first inning and hit an RBI single in the third. Kochanowicz will carry a 5.85 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come in Detroit.

Picking up another start
Kochanowicz is slated to start Sunday's game against the White Sox in Anaheim.
Analysis
Kochanowicz had an unceremonious return to the Los Angeles rotation after being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, taking a loss to the Rangers after giving up two unearned runs on one hit and a season-high six walks over 4.2 innings. Though he now owns an ugly 5.75 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 98.2 innings with the big club this season, Kochanowicz will get at least one more chance to prove that he's worthy of a spot in the Angels rotation.

Surrenders six walks in return
Kochanowicz did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs (none earned) on one hit and six walks over 4.2 innings in a 6-4 victory over the Rangers. He struck out three.
Analysis
Kochanowicz had an eventful outing Monday in his first big-league start since July 10. While the Rangers had trouble squaring him up, they managed to reach base via walks and took advantage of a costly error by Gustavo Campero to plate two runs in the fifth inning. The walks are a concern, but holding Texas to no earned runs marked a positive step for Kochanowicz, who entered the game with a 7.51 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over his previous 10 starts spanning 44.1 innings.
