He'll check back into the starting nine after a right hamstring injury kept him from playing in Tuesday's 3-2 win. Canzone exited the contest in the bottom of the sixth frame after hustling down the line on the groundout. The 28-year-old grabbed at his right leg after crossing first base, and it is now understood that he is dealing a hamstring injury. Canzone will travel with the team to Pittsburgh before Seattle will open a three-game series against the Pirates on Tuesday, and he is considered day-to-day for the time being.

Canzone pulled up lame after producing an RBI-groundout in the bottom of the sixth inning, grabbing at the back of his right leg before departing with the training staff. His day has come to a premature end having gone 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI. Luke Raley has taken over in right field against Boston.

Canzone went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second RBI in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Orioles.
Analisi
Canzone's strong June continued with his fifth multi-hit effort of the month. He's also clubbed four homers while going 18-for-43 (.419) over 15 contests this month. While the injuries are piling up in the Mariners' outfield, Canzone continues to primarily work as the designated hitter, though he started the previous two games in right field. He's now batting .293 with a .940 OPS, 11 homers, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 189 plate appearances.
