Hill is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Analisi
After being activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Hill started in center field in the first two games of the series with Atlanta and went 2-for-8 with a home run, a stolen base, two RBI and an additional run. Kyle Stowers will get the nod in center Wednesday, but Hill should see the bulk of the starts at the position until Dane Myers (oblique) returns from the IL.

Hill went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Cubs.

Making his return from the injured list, Hill spoiled Colin Rea's shutout bid by driving a fastball over the fence in left-center field in the seventh inning. The 29-year-old outfielder had been out since April 16 due to a wrist injury, but with Dane Myers (oblique) taking his place on the IL, Hill figures to get regular run in center field for the Marlins despite his offensive struggles. Through 52 plate appearances this season, he's slashing .174/.240/.348 with two homers, three steals, five RBI and eight runs, and after fanning twice Monday, he's saddled with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate.

Makes return from IL
The Marlins reinstated Hill (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start in center field and bat seventh in Miami's series opener versus the Cubs.

Hill had been on the shelf since April 18 after initially spraining his left wrist while making a diving catch in an April 8 game, but he's been cleared to rejoin the big club after completing a four-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville last week. Though he initially looked as though he might be ticketed for a fourth-outfielder role upon his activation, Hill could step in as the Marlins' primary starter in center field after Dane Myers (oblique) was placed on the IL in a corresponding move. Kyle Stowers and Jesus Sanchez are also candidates to pick up starts in center when Hill is out of the lineup.

Hill went 2-for-13 with two walks and two RBI while striking out seven times during his four-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville. The 29-year-old opened the season batting .167 with one home run, three RBI, seven runs scored and three stolen bases over 42 at-bats in 11 games with the Marlins before suffering a left wrist sprain.
