Could be out longer than 10 days
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said it's possible Seager (hamstring) will require longer than a minimum stay on the 10-day injured list, MLB.com reports.
Analisi
Seager missed just 10 days of action the first time he strained his right hamstring, but the Rangers figure to be more cautious this time around after he aggravated the injury and had to go back on the IL this week. The shortstop is eligible for activation May 21 during the second game of a six-game road trip, but a return sometime during the Rangers' May 26 to June 1 homestand seems likelier for Seager.

Seager (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analisi
This will be Seager's second IL stint of the season with a right hamstring strain. The last time he missed under two weeks. Josh Smith (back) and Ezequiel Duran should fill in at shortstop. Kyle Higashioka was recalled in a corresponding move.

Seager wasn't deactivated Monday when the Rangers recalled first baseman Jake Burger from Triple-A Round Rock. However, the Rangers are expected to just wait to place Seager on the IL until Tuesday, when catcher Kyle Higashioka (intercostal) is likely to be activated from the IL. Seager previously landed on the IL on April 23 due to a right hamstring strain, then played in just five games after being activated May 2 before aggravating the injury.

It marks the fourth time across the last five contests that Seager has been out of the lineup due to a right hamstring issue. Seager spent time on injured list in late April and early May with an injury to the same hamstring. The Rangers are considering him day-to-day for the time being. Seager sat out two straight contests but returned with a bang Saturday, notching his second two-homer game of the season. The shortstop has hit safely in each of his five games since returning from the injured list May 3, going 8-for-23 with four extra-base hits, six RBI and seven runs scored in that span. On the season, he's slashing .300/.346/.520 with six long balls, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored across 107 plate appearances.
