Bassitt fell one out short of qualifying for a quality start, but he still overcame plenty of traffic for a decent outing overall. The 37-year-old right-hander continues to get hit around, giving up at least six knocks in 10 of his 14 starts, but the six strikeouts Wednesday marked his second-highest total of the year. Bassitt will bring an uninspiring 5.08 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 46:26 K:BB over 67.1 innings into his next scheduled appearance in St. Louis.

Bassitt was cleared to return to the big leagues following a two-plus month rehab from surgery to remove bone spurs from his back. He built up his pitch count to 88 (53 strikes) and induced seven groundouts, though he generated only two whiffs. Bassitt now sits at a 5.11 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 40:25 K:BB over 61.2 innings this season. He's lined up to take on the Yankees at home next week.

The right-hander made three rehab starts with Triple-A Norfolk and posted a 1.98 ERA with a 12:4 K:BB across 13.2 innings. In 12 games (10 starts) with the Orioles this season, Bassitt owns a 5.27 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 37:22 K:BB across 56.1 frames.
