Williams will make his first appearance with the big-league club since May 27 after being recalled from Triple-A Durham on Friday. With Taylor Walls scratched from Saturday's lineup, Williams will take over at shortstop and bat ninth for Tampa Bay. Williams made the Rays' Opening Day roster as the team's starting shortstop but has spent the majority of the 2026 season in Triple-A, where he is slashing .226/.318/.392 with 17 steals (in 24 chances), 11 home runs and 51 RBI over 358 plate appearances.
