Blows second save
Faucher gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning of relief Wednesday, getting charged with his second blown save of the season in a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Nationals. He struck out one.
Analisi
With the Marlins ahead 3-0, Mike Baumann took the mound to begin the eighth inning but immediately ran into trouble, loading the bases without recording an out. Faucher was quickly brought in, but he walked in a run before giving up an RBI groundout and a James Wood double that tied the game. Despite the stumble, Faucher has had runs charged to his own ledger only twice in his last 13 appearances, posting a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB in 13 innings over that stretch while converting six of seven save chances.

Faucher struck out all three batters he faced and earned a save over San Francisco on Sunday.
Analisi
Faucher needed just 13 pitches (10 strikes) to roll through the Giants and close out the 7-5 win. He converted both save chances while striking out five in two perfect innings during the weekend series against San Francisco and he's now tossed four straight scoreless innings. Since taking over the top closer role in Miami after the trade deadline, Faucher has converted six of seven save chances while registering a 4.15 ERA and a 19:6 K:BB through 13 frames. On the year, he owns a 3.25 ERA over 52.2 innings.

Secures fifth save
Faucher picked up the save over the Giants on Saturday, hurling a perfect ninth innings while striking out two.
Analisi
Faucher took the mound in the bottom of the ninth with a 4-3 lead and got Patrick Bailey to fly out to center on the first pitch before retiring the final two batters by way of strikeout. It marked the right-hander's fifth save of the campaign - all of which came in August, and he's now recorded multiple strikeouts in two of his last three appearances. Faucher appears to have a fairly-firm grip on the closer job since Tanner Scott's departure, with his only blown save coming at the very start of last month.
