Doyle went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional RBI in Thursday's 12-8 loss to Miami.

Doyle tied the game 2-2 with a solo shot off Valente Bellozo in the third inning, his 22nd of the year, before driving in a second run with a base hit in the sixth. The homer was the first in six games for Doyle, though he still has a stellar 1.011 OPS with 15 long balls in 50 contests since the start of July. Overall, the outfielder is slashing .274/.335/.481 with 22 homers, 65 RBI, 77 runs scored and 25 steals across 523 plate appearances this year.

Doyle missed each of the last two starts with left patella tendinitis, an issue which also caused him to miss a couple contests back in June. He's feeling well enough to give it a go in the third game of a four-game set versus Miami.

Doyle's injury doesn't appear to be overly serious, but the club seems content to hold him out a day or two longer to ensure he's at 100 percent before taking the field.
