Blows save, takes first loss
Joyce (0-1) blew a save and took the loss against the Rangers on Friday, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and one walk with one strikeout while recording two outs in the 10th inning.
Analisi
Joyce was summoned to close out a one-run lead in the 10th inning and recorded two quick outs. It was downhill from there, though, as he yielded an RBI double before the game-winning run scored on a throwing error. Despite the end result, the 25-year-old has now gone seven straight outings without allowing an earned run since making his season debut Aug. 5. He owns three saves and one hold over that span to go along with a strong 9:2 K:BB and should remain the club's favorite for save chances down the stretch.

Fans two in third save
Joyce struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn the save Tuesday in a 3-1 win over the Astros.
Analisi
Joyce once again had no trouble closing out a victory, picking up his third save over the last week. Through six scoreless innings this season, he's allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out eight. The Angels haven't had Joyce pitch consecutive days yet, but it looks like he'll continue to see the majority of the save chances for the rest of the campaign.

Tidy work for second save
Joyce struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Royals.
Analisi
Joyce has collected saves in both of his last two appearances. He's posted a 6:1 K:BB over five scoreless innings since returning from a shoulder injury. Joyce should have decent fantasy value over the remainder of the season as long as he can stay healthy, though save chances may ultimately be sparse on a last-place team.
