Knueppel put on a shooting display Thursday evening and tied the best mark of his young NBA career by knocking down eight threes, which is something he also accomplished Jan. 29 against Dallas. Following this impressive performance from deep, the Duke product now holds the NBA record for most made threes in a season by a rookie with 207. Knueppel has put up 20-plus points in four straight games and has shown no sign of slowing down.

Knueppel's remarkable rookie campaign continues as the 2025 No. 4 overall pick became the first player to reach 200 made threes this season. He was very efficient from the field on his way to 21 points in only 23 minutes. He's averaging 27.3 points per game over his last three. Knueppel has now made more than one triple in nine consecutive games, recording at least one steal in five straight as well.

Knueppel stayed red-hot from beyond the arc Sunday against the Wizards, knocking down five of nine three-point attempts and maintaining his league lead with 198 made threes this season. The No. 4 overall pick also tied Stephen Curry for the most games by a rookie with at least 25 points and five threes, reaching nine such games and continuing what has been a remarkable debut campaign. Over his last 10 games, the 20-year-old forward is averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 threes, 3.2 assists and 0.7 steals across 33.5 minutes per contest.

Knueppel logged 33 points (11-20 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes during the Hornets' 118-113 loss to the Cavaliers on Friday.
Analisi
The No. 4 overall pick paced the Hornets on offense during Friday's loss, tallying 27 of his game-high 33 points between the second and third quarters. It was the third time this season that Knueppel connected on seven triples in a game, and he was one shy from tying a career high that he set against the Mavericks on Jan. 29. He should operate in an elevated role against the Wizards on Sunday, as that will be the last game Miles Bridges will be forced to miss while serving a four-game suspension.
