Analyse
The fourth-year forward remains a consistent contributor for the Pelicans. Murphy has scored in double digits in all 51 of his appearances this season, and through 12 contests since the All-Star break he's averaged 19.2 points, 5.0 boards, 3.7 assists, 2.5 threes, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks. While his floor is rock solid however, Murphy hasn't offered much of a ceiling of late and hasn't delivered 30 or more points since Feb. 3.

Murphy embraced a bigger role on offense due to the absences of CJ McCollum (rest) and Zion Williamson (rest), and that resulted in him leading the Pelicans in scoring. Murphy has reached the 20-point mark in three of his last five appearances and is having a breakout on offense in 2024-25, averaging a career-high 21.8 points per game across 49 appearances while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and 36.1 percent from three-point range.

Murphy totaled 26 points (9-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds and two blocks across 39 minutes during Thursday's 109-97 loss to the Rockets.
Analyse
The fourth-year wing led all scorers on the night, but Murphy couldn't stop Houston from pulling away in the second half. He's drained multiple three-pointers in seven of eight games since the All-Star break, averaging 19.0 points, 5.1 boards, 4.4 assists, 3.0 threes, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks over that stretch.
