Puts up 26 points in win
Monk posted 26 points (9-15 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, eight assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 124-112 win over the Lakers.
Analyse
Monk recorded his sixth game of the campaign with at least 20 points and set a new season-high mark with 26 on the night. It's no secret that Monk is on the trade block, as the Kings seem ready to pivot to a rebuild. With a modest contract and a proven resume as a scorer and playmaker, Monk is likely to have a decent market.

Posts 15 points off bench
Monk closed Sunday's 111-98 win over the Rockets with 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block across 26 minutes.
Analyse
With Dennis Schroder (suspension) sidelined, Monk took on a larger role in the offense, recording 26 minutes during the victory. Russell Westbrook's resurgence and the addition of Schroder have torpedoed any fantasy value Monk had previously, and his outlier performance won't change that. Monk would need a trade or a string of Sacramento injuries to make a significant difference.

Re-emerges in rotation
Monk recorded eight points (4-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes off the bench in Friday's 137-103 loss to the Warriors.
Analyse
Monk hadn't played in any of the Kings' previous three games due to coach's decision, but he re-emerged on the second unit Friday after head coach Doug Christie elected to drop Doug McDermott from the rotation and also chose to cut down Precious Achiuwa's playing time. Though he wasn't particularly productive during his time on the court, Monk could become a more consistent fixture in the rotation in the short term if the Kings intend to showcase him ahead of the Feb. 5 trade deadline.
