Although Doncic had some shooting issues inside the arc, he generated 12 points at the charity stripe to support his total. Monday marked Doncic's third double-double and the first line that featured double-digit assists instead of rebounds.

Productive outing in blowout win
Doncic accumulated 32 points (11-22 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 5-7 FT), nine rebounds and seven assists over 32 minutes during Sunday's 108-85 victory over the Magic.
Analyse
Doncic led the Mavericks in both assists and scoring while recording his second-highest mark in points of the season. The superstar stuffed the stat sheet in the blowout victory, and he also checked out of the fourth quarter early. The 25-year-old's performance from distance, while far from efficient, was nevertheless an improvement after a three-game stint in which he shot only 5-for-24 from beyond the arc. Through six regular-season games, the All-Star has averaged 28.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks across 36.3 minutes per game. However, he's had some struggles with efficiency thus far, and he is shooting only 31.1 percent from deep.

Analyse
Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 57 of the Mavericks' 102 points Thursday, but the superstar duo was unable to pull off the fourth-quarter comeback. Doncic was unusually quiet in his rebounding and assists in the loss, but that should be viewed as an anomaly as he averaged 9.8 assists and 9.2 rebounds across 70 games during the 2023-24 regular season.

Doncic ended Tuesday's 120-114 victory over the Timberwolves with 24 points (10-27 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists and one steal over 40 minutes.
Analyse
Despite a minor knee injury he suffered late in the second quarter, Doncic still saw his biggest workload of 2024-25 in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals. The 25-year-old superstar has dished eight or more assists in three of four games so far while pulling down at least eight rebounds in each contest.
