Murray amassed 19 points (7-16 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 112-100 loss to the Suns.
Analyse
Murray finished just two rebounds shy of a double-double, and he also co-led the Kings in scoring with Russell Westbrook. The forward has made just four appearances this season, and given that he's scored 19 or more points in each of the last three, he seems set to have a significant role on offense for a struggling Kings team.

Murray notched 26 points (10-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 44 minutes during Monday's 117-112 overtime win over the Timberwolves.

Any doubt about Murray's preparedness following his return was erased Monday night, as he took a huge leadership role in a frontcourt that desperately needed his help. Drew Eubanks has been a disappointment as Domantas Sabonis' (hamstring) fill-in, and although Precious Achiuwa has had some promising moments, Murray's insertion provides the offensive punch the Kings need, accompanied by proficient work under the basket. Murray's 14 rebounds marked his best total since November 10 of last year, when he had an identical total against Phoenix.

Murray made his season debut Thursday night, but he logged his first start in Saturday's dramatic win. His 33 minutes on the floor during Thursday's game were a true test of Murray's durability following offseason thumb surgery. Analyse
It's hard to highlight many Sacramento players following a 41-point loss like Thursday's, but Murray was one of the few players who posted a solid line across the board despite his shooting struggles. This was the first appearance of the 2025-26 season for Murray, and he made the most of his minutes off the bench. Murray should eventually return to the starting lineup in place of Precious Achiuwa, which might happen as soon as Saturday on the road against the Nuggets.

Analyse
The Kings will presumably ease Murray back into the swing of things after missing the first month of the season while recovering from thumb surgery. Precious Achiuwa will remain the starter at power forward for now, but expect Murray to take back over once he acclimates over the next few games.
