Analyse
The Trail Blazers took a second straight game away from the Suns as Ayton throttled his former team. Now at full health, Portland is feeling the groove with eight wins over its past nine games, and Ayton's four double-doubles have been a key part of the effort. Their only loss over the span came against the Thunder during an Ayton absence, and they lost by only 10 points to the Western Conference frontrunners.

Torches nets in efficient outing
Ayton notched 24 points (11-12 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block over 33 minutes during Saturday's 127-108 victory over the Suns.
Analyse
Ayton posted 20-plus points for the fourth appearance in a row while finishing as the club's leading scorer, shooting a near-perfect 11-for-12 from the field. The big man continues to fill the stat sheet, though his availability has been a glaring issue of late, as he has missed five of Portland's last 12 outings. In three appearances following a three-game absence due to a left knee sprain, Ayton has averaged 22.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks in 34.0 minutes per contest.

Ayton provided 22 points (10-12 FG, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Thursday's 119-90 victory over the Magic.
Analyse
Ayton was only two boards away from recording a double-double, but the veteran big man also made his presence in other areas. The scoring touch was efficient as well, as he missed just two of his 12 attempts en route to his third straight game with at least 20 points. The availability issues remain a problem, as Ayton has missed five games since the beginning of January, but he's finding ways to produce. He's averaging 13.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game across 11 January appearances.

Ayton (knee) tallied 21 points (9-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 125-112 win over the Bucks.
Analyse
Ayton operated without any restrictions in his return from a three-game absence due to a left knee sprain, as he exceeded his season-long average in minutes (30.1 per game) while claiming his third consecutive double-double and making contributions in both of the defensive categories. With the 18-29 Trail Blazers being well removed from playoff contention, Ayton could find himself at risk of being held out due to minor injuries in the second half of the season. When available, however, he should make for a strong source of rebounds and efficient scoring.
