Set for surgery on fractured elbow
Schwellenbach will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a fracture in his right elbow, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Analyse
Schwellenbach missed the final three months of last season with the injury, and it seems the fracture never properly healed. He has been sidelined this season following surgery in February to remove bone spurs from his elbow. There's no word yet on a timeline for Schwellenbach, but it's possible he will not be ready in time for the start of the 2027 season.
