Carpenter popped his second home run in the last three contests to get to eight long balls for the season. The 28-year-old outfielder recently returned from a three-week absence due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, and he's gone 6-for-15 with the two homers and five RBI in his four games back. It appears that Carpenter is fully recovered from the injury and primed to produce at a high level as long as he remains healthy.

The outfielder just returned from the injured list Sunday after missing about three weeks due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, and the long ball was his first since April 24. Carpenter is still looking to hit his stride this year, and the injury certainly disrupted his momentum, but the 28-year-old is capable of heating up in a hurry.

Returning from IL as DH on Sunday
The Tigers reinstated Carpenter (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in the Tigers' series finale versus the White Sox.
