Scratched with sore ankle
The Royals scratched Caglianone from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers due to ankle soreness.
Analyse
Caglianone's right ankle is presumably still bothering him after he was forced out of Wednesday's win over the Athletics and then ended up sitting out Thursday as well. Caglianone did suit up for the first two games of the Detroit series and went 1-for-8 with a double and a run scored. John Rave will get the nod in right field Sunday in place of Caglianone, who will be treated as day-to-day heading into a three-game series in Toronto that begins Tuesday.

Caglianone was removed from Wednesday's game against the Athletics with right ankle soreness and was held out of the lineup Thursday. He's good to go for Friday's series opener and has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball in the month of August, slashing .438/.463/.750 with five homers, 20 RBI, 11 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 2:8 BB:K across 67 plate appearances.

Held out of Kansas City lineup
Caglianone (ankle) is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.
Analyse
Caglianone had to be pulled from Wednesday's contest due to right ankle soreness. Per Anne Rogers of MLB.com, Caglianone said after that game that the ankle issue had "been nagging for a little bit," but he's confident he "should be back in here pretty soon." Nick Loftin is playing right field Thursday in Caglianone's stead.

Lifted with sore ankle
Caglianone was removed from Wednesday's game against the Athletics with right ankle soreness.
Analyse
Caglianone was hit in the ribs by a pitch in the third inning, but his ankle turned out to be the reason for his removal a couple frames later. It's unclear whether the 23-year-old's injury will be enough to keep him out of Thursday's series finale, but the Royals may provide more information in the near future. John Rave would be next in line to start in right field if Caglianone has to sit.
